Brent A. Seay, CPA
Founder and President
Brent brings a wealth of experience to his role as the leader of our firm. He started his accounting career in public accounting, and then spent time in the corporate world, first in multiple executive roles at Walmart in Internal Audit, Accounting, Corporate Finance, Real Estate Finance and Real Estate. This included a 4-year expat assignment in Asia, based in Hong Kong. Immediately prior to starting The Seay Firm, he spent 2+ years as Vice President Financial Accounting and Business Processes at Smartcentres Real Estate Investment Trust, one of the largest REITs in Canada. He is passionate about using this experience to assist small businesses with all of their financial needs. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and is a huge Hog fan!
Brent started The Seay Firm in 2020 to serve Northwest Arkansas, and he recently purchased the former Village Bookkeeping and Tax Service in Bella Vista. He specializes in CFO services and corporate, partnership, and individual taxation and specializes in the real estate and construction industries. Current and past CFO services provided to business in the healthcare and marketing industries.
Matthew has been preparing tax returns for clients in Bella Vista and the surrounding area since 2005. Before coming to Bella Vista, Matthew worked for his father’s CPA firm in Springdale for four years. While in college, Matthew studied accounting and completed an H&R Block course on income tax preparation.
Matthew has enjoyed working with his father for the past 20 years and being a part of the community of Bella Vista. He enjoys the relationships he has built with the people of Bella Vista, and he loves the diversity and collection of clients that he serves, from individual, partnership, corporation, and trust returns to clients who live in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Texas, and other surrounding states.
When Matthew is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, swimming, playing video games, and watching sports.

Bookkeeper and Payroll Specialist
Shirley started her accounting career at Village Bookkeeping and Tax Service, which was acquired by The Seay Firm in 2021, in 2008. Shirley handles bookkeeping and payroll services for numerous clients, and she has expertise in QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online. Shirley obtained her associates’ degree in business administration from Crowder College in 2003, and in 2006 she received her bachelor’s degree in business administration with a major in accounting from Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, Missouri.
Shirley has three adult children and three grandsons. She loves horses and participating in outdoor activities during her free time. She grew up and continues to call southwest Missouri home.

Tax and Accounting Specialist
Thomas joined The Seay Firm as a tax preparer in January 2022 after completing a comprehensive tax preparation course. He specializes in personal income tax returns, and he also supports a large business client with accounting services.
